Stonework "facelift" for Renovation Project
DeLuca Home Design was asked to add to and match the stonework of an old Tudor style home that was being completely remodeled. The project was to add an entire new footing around the complete perimeter of the house and install a varied colored sandstone surface to cover the raised foundation. This gave the home a new stone look. Stones used were "argillite" - brown, yellow and blue sandstones mixed with white granite and bluestone. The new stone "shelf" was topped with a brick edging to both sheer water away from the house facade, and give a strong finish to the new wall surface.
DHD restored the homes original archway.
New irregular pattern bluestone front walk.
Below is a gallery containing shots of the home and property prior to beginning our restoration, as well as the first stage of work that involved building our base (removal of old broken structures and installing strong supports and footings for the new structures)
